Cartier and Italdizain hosted the musical performance "Winter Wonder" at the Muslim Magomayev Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall.
On the eve of the New Year holidays, Cartier and Italdizain delighted their young friends and parents with a special gift – a jazz performance titled “Winter Wonder.” The private performance took place on 9 December.
The performance "Winter Wonder" revolves around the series of 12 short musical pieces named "Children's Pictures," written by the esteemed Azerbaijani composer Fikret Amirov as a dedication to his daughter. This mesmerising musical journey encapsulates 12 jazz tales about a girl whose life revolves around music. On New Year's Eve, a miracle happens to the main character, now an adult, as she finds herself transported back to her childhood home. Immersed in memories, she reconnects with her source of inspiration, transforming back into the young girl for whom her beloved composer father crafted these melodies.
This New Year's production delves into significant universal themes: the connection of generations, continuity, respect for Azerbaijani classical music heritage, its relevance in contemporary times, the search for childhood inspiration and support, the power of love, and the unbreakable bond between parents and children.
The play was directed by Anton Morozov, featuring prominent Azerbaijani singer, composer, and musician Diana Hajiyeva alongside her daughter Savvara Nasib in the main roles. Diana Hajiyeva not only performed but also served as the composer and choral arranger, with lyrics written by Ibrahim Ibrahimov. The performance's visual aesthetics drew inspiration from elements of the Art Deco style, a significant aesthetic influence reflecting Cartier's distinct design codes.
Before the performance, the guests were welcomed by Sergey Khiruntsev, Managing Director of Cartier in Russia and CIS, and Maria Shishova, CEO of Italdizain.

The production "Winter Wonder" stood out for its dynamic nature and interactive engagement of spectators of all ages, granting them the chance to join the jazz orchestra for the evening. Beyond being a vibrant holiday spectacle, "Winter Wonder" played a crucial role in conserving and transmitting the legacy of Azerbaijani classical music, as well as fostering stronger intergenerational connections.
