Now, going beyond the beaten track once again, the Roman Jeweler introduces Bulgari Studio, a platform for creative cross-pollination, transcending different fields, disciplines and imaginative territories. Here, on this stage for co-creation and experimentation, Bulgari’s spirit of innovation meets the talent of contemporary creative minds to evolve and reinvent the narrative of its most emblematic icons. B.zero1: a ring that is a mindset, a way to set free one’s truest self. But also, Bulgari Bulgari, a collection that turned the Maison’s Roman-inspired logo into an unmistakable aesthetic hallmark. And then, Bulgari Tubogas, an ingenious signature technique of the Roman Maison, now elevated into a line blending visual finesse with extraordinary wearability.
Three different stories of daring, curiosity and unbridled creativity, all destined to change the paradigms of the worlds of jewelry and watches.
Inspired by the universal and timeless appeal of these Bulgari icons, digital artists, innovative designers, artisans, game-changers and trailblazers explore their limitless imagination through new and original forms of creative expression.
THE UNVEILING
Bulgari Studio debuts in Seoul, a city that has become a creative epicenter: from music to art and including innovation, fashion and design, the vibrant metropolis attracts an international audience of young talents, trend-setters and curious minds that are keen to embrace its dynamic and inspiring avant-garde spirit.
In the impressive spaces of Théâtre des Lumières, on March 14 guests are invited to enjoy an immersive experience, expanding the concept of design, innovation and creativity.
The starting point of this first Bulgari Studio stage is Bulgari’s B.zero1, a ring that over the past 25 years has offered endless territory for creative experimentation but also other emblematic creations such as the new Bulgari Roma bag and the Bulgari Bulgari watches, with their unmistakable and quintessentially iconic aesthetics.
Cross-pollination and interdisciplinarity: Bulgari’s open-minded creative approach runs through each of its creations – from jewelry to watches through leather goods – and likewise the visionary minds of the Bulgari Studio community are invited to push the boundaries of creativity to enter a common territory of experimentation, sharing and interconnection.
THE DIGITAL CAMPAIGN BY ANTONI TUDISCO
The first destination of Bulgari Studio, Seoul, is being unveiled in a dedicated digital campaign, debuting worldwide on March 1. Signed by Antoni Tudisco, one of the creators joining the multi-disciplinary platform, it is both a teaser but also a first experience of the many ways and forms to overcome the boundaries of imagination.
The main subject of his creative project is the B.zero1 iconic ring, whose distinctive aesthetic features are decomposed, rotated, mixed and reinvented under a new, original perspective. With his signature surreal style, the German-based Italo-Philippine artist plays with the infinite interpretations of the icon, in a kaleidoscope of endless possibilities.
The energy of lights as well as the flowing and rhythmic movements of the design, propel the characteristic spiral shape of the sculptural ring into an almost metaphysic dimension, blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination.
Expanding the concept of design itself, the ring fluctuates between the real and the virtual worlds, until it approaches the city of Seoul.
VISIONARY MINDS MEET IN SEOUL: ANYMA & SADECK BERRABAH
At Théâtre des Lumières, the multi-disciplinary artist Anyma unleashes his diverse talents as a musician, futurist, and creative director to craft an immersive audio-visual live show that transcends the boundaries between reality and imagination. Moving between different forms of art and multiple mediums, he develops an immersive experience that is both devoted to B.zero1’s original design language but also something completely new.
On the same occasion, the French choreographer Sadeck Berrabah, famous for his visually captivating performances focused on arm and hand movements, joins Bulgari Studio with a choreography in dialogue with B.zero1’s aesthetic language. A perfect demonstration of the ability of humans to create harmony, connected to each other, the performance shows how each individual has their own identity, but also an irreplaceable place in a whole.
A dedicated installation, located in the center of Seoul and accessible to the public from March 13 to March 31, offers a glimpse into the performance of the DJ-artist who carefully crafted sound and visuals by merging the creative universes of Anyma and B.zero1. The iconic ring is presented in the shape of a potentially endless spiral: neither horizontal nor vertical, the infinite tunnel points towards the future, where everything is possible for those who have the courage to look far ahead.
After the unveiling in Seoul, Bulgari Studio’s experimentation and exchange platform will extend its potential throughout 2024, involving creators worldwide.
