The Sarabski Music Festival successfully took place in Baku on 28–30 May 2026, bringing together Azerbaijani and international artists for a three-day celebration of music, culture, and creative exchange.
Named in honor of Huseyngulu Sarabski, one of Azerbaijan’s most prominent cultural figures, the festival was created as a contemporary cultural platform connecting the country’s rich artistic heritage with modern global music trends. The program brought together a wide range of genres, including jazz, classical, electronic, folk and experimental music, offering audiences a dynamic and multi-layered festival experience.
The festival was held across several venues in Baku, including the Open Air area on Baku Boulevard, Elektra Events Hall, and B4 Restaurant. This multi-venue format allowed the festival to combine open-air performances, headline concerts, intimate jazz evenings, jam sessions, and special cultural events, reflecting the diversity and energy of Baku’s creative scene.
The 2026 edition featured an impressive line-up of Azerbaijani and international artists, including Ivan Dorn, Stimming, Dinara Aliyeva, Sevda Alakbarzade, Isfar Sarabski, DiHaj, Olivia Trummer, Rain Sultanov, Ilkin Dovlatov, Makar Novikov Quartet, Luca Mannutza, Salman Gambarov, Jamil Amirov, Stefano Maurizi, Shahriyar Imanov, and many others.
Beyond its concert program, Sarabski Music Festival emphasized education and artistic collaboration through workshops for musicians and live jam sessions. These formats created opportunities for emerging talents to learn from established local and international artists, exchange ideas, and collaborate across genres and cultures.
“Sarabski Music Festival was designed as more than a series of concerts. It was a cultural statement — a platform where Azerbaijani heritage, international creativity, and contemporary music culture could meet. We are proud that the festival brought together artists and audiences from different backgrounds and created a new space for dialogue, inspiration, and artistic exchange in Baku,” said the festival organizers.
Nargis Magazine served as the media partner of the Sarabski Music Festival, supporting the event’s visibility and helping communicate its cultural significance to a wider audience. The partnership reinforced the festival’s positioning as one of Baku’s notable cultural events of the year.
With its successful first edition, Sarabski Music Festival established itself as a promising cultural initiative with the potential to become an annual platform for international music, artistic collaboration, and cultural exchange in Azerbaijan.
