Spring Festival "Force of Love" held in Baku
From May 24 to 26, the "Force of Love" festival took place at the Space____________13 art space, offering residents and guests of Baku an unforgettable experience. The main goal of the festival was to create an opportunity for families, children, and friends to gather, enjoy numerous activities, and have fun.
On the first day, the festival featured various master classes, including painting on canvas, soap making and decorating, robotics, pottery, eco bag design, perfume making, tea assembly, plate decorating, flower planting, and zumba dancing.
The second day offered stretching exercises, coffee painting, paper doll design, plate painting, glass painting and stained glass, and bachata dancing. Ulviyya Mahmud, the Editor-in-Chief of the magazine and the ideological inspirer of the “Force of Love” festival, conducted a master class on Still Drawing. Additional sessions included T-shirt graffiti by Becausenever (Toghrul Maharramli) and an ecological "Zero Waste" master class by Firuza Sultan-zadeh.
The Center for the Development of Cultural and Creative Industries under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which supported the event, invited everyone to turn their dreams into reality and demonstrate their talents in various fields. These fields included music, dance, theatre, humour, design, architecture, fashion, craftsmanship and fine arts, film, video, photography, literature, publishing, television, radio, advertising, games, and creative technologies. The centre organised “Cultech” (cultural startups), “GameTech” (game technology), a sketching master class, and exhibited works by Ahmed Nabiyev and the Atide brand.
Additionally, the festival showcased the works of young photographers of the “f37 Union” community.
Assistance in organising the master classes was provided by the Republican Children and Youth Development Center under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Visitors to the festival had the opportunity to purchase art, books, photographs, vintage jewellery, vinyl records, home and beauty products, clothes, vintage bags, and more. They also enjoyed a variety of treats and drinks. The festival was visited by approximately 2,800 to 3,000 people.
On May 26, the artistic portion of the event took place. Stand-up comics, including Javid Gurbanov (scriptwriter for "Comedy Club," "HB," "Nasha Rasha," and author of the KVN team "Bakılı Oğlanlar") and Roman Orkodashvili (director, scriptwriter, writer, editor, and participant of the "What? Where? When?" club of connoisseurs), performed on the Space____________13 stage. The evening concluded with a musical set by Becausenever.
